14 lbs Pilsner malt 1 lb carapils .25 crystal 20 0.375 oz Perle 7%, 60 mins 1 oz Hallertauer 4%, 60 mins 1 oz Hallertauer 4%, 30 mins 1 oz Saaz 3.8%, 15 mins 1 oz Saaz 3.8%, 5 mins 1.060 OG 1.013 FG Pitched Wyeast Bavarian Lager from a big starter. Too dark and sweet. Cut out the crystal and use half the carapils. Also, use lots more Saaz and Hallertauer at the end. Maybe can cut down on mass of hops by using Magnum for some of the bittering...? Definitely could detect the Saaz aroma. Very nice, but still needs more. Put in 2 oz at 5 mins or at knockout. Overall bitterness could go down a little, but not much!
